Short sighted management has failed staff and clients - Employment Law Consultant Peninsula Employee Review

Numbers dropping in the advice team and it’s impossible to service clients, most clients I speak to are complaining about delays. We are regulated by the FCA but sales continue to sell the service to new clients even though they know it is not possible to meet demand or slas with the current staff numbers. I don’t know how that’s okay? Colleagues have suggested raising a grievance but there’s no point. They will reply to to say it is “not a culture they recognise” but look at all the reviews with the same theme - it’s never changed. Iv raised this with my team leader several times, but it makes no impact. They are in the same boat. They escalate to senior management and are told we need to work smarter It will never change, the company is owned by a salesman and all that matters is profit and what can be boasted about. staff are going off sick with stress and everyone is miserable. We are all struggling to manage the workload but we are told there is a recruitment freeze but we get emails about how much profit the business is making. Talk about tone deaf
