The detriment to your mental health will be substantial. Colleagues are crying at their desks. No one gets lunch because they are so overwhelmed and overworked. For the last three months we have been understaffed and the workload is horrific yet we are still being challenged with unobtainable KPI’s. On a call more than a few minutes? Chastised. Don’t remember to try and sell every single additional service whilst on said call? Chastised. Emailing clients whilst on calls because they are chasing desperately for support? Chastised as you should be calling them - but you can’t physically call them because you are on inbound calls. As well as the 30+ tasks in your list you are expected to take a minimum of 25-30 new calls a day. Bearing in mind those email tasks have a three hour SLA - who is giving thirty quality pieces of advice within three hours when the phone is ringing within 60 seconds of hanging up from your last call. They’ve even had to schedule all training out of hours because there aren’t enough staff to allow us time off line.
