Pros

Good team of workers and assistant manager.

Cons

Hours are not flexible. No pay rises but will advise your job at a higher rate. Won’t get tools. General manager is condescending and knows very little. Watched on cameras. No trust from general manager. Massive turnover in staff.

Pros

The role gave me exposure to a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to develop customer service and operational skills. I also met some supportive colleagues during my time there, which made certain aspects of the job enjoyable.

Cons

There was significant management turnover during my time at the company, which led to inconsistency in expectations, communication, and leadership style. At times, feedback felt overly critical rather than supportive or developmental, which made the working environment quite difficult to navigate. Overall, the experience had a strong emotional impact due to the lack of stability and consistency in management. This made it challenging to feel settled or confident in the role over time. Being mocked because of the way I talk has stuck with me, and affected my confidence in roles I took up after leaving iQ. I’m now having to seek counselling because of how it has had a significant impact on my wellbeing and health. I didn’t feel listened to, and I can only hope that my confidence comes back with time.
