Overworking while giving as little as possible

Pros

Great coworkers, free doughnuts and fruit

Cons

Deeply rooted issues with overworking and not recognising employees. SMT and management (in most departments) have unreasonable expectations and do not implement any feedback they're provided with. No career progression, no real training, no job progression, low salaries with unreasonable expectations, no defined job roles and people will keep piling work on you that isn't your job. Huge employee turnover due to all of the above.

Colleagues were amazing, incredible store manager

Cons

Higher management were so unaware (had joined the company as management but failed to try and understand the job that we did in retail) and would come in store periodically to patronise us about how to do a job that we do very well anyway.
