I was sold a lie

Pros

The local amenities are good and within a short walking distance from the building. The scenery around the office is very nice with good commuting routes from all directions.

Cons

I'm currently working full time at lead forensics and i can say that it is a hideous place to be. The recruitment team completely mis-sold me a job opportunity and i was promised great earnings with many incentives and bonuses added on. This has most certainly not been true throughout my time here. In-fact it has been quite to the contrary! The hours are not as advertised when i originally started and the money is not what it's made out to be. Overall this has been a complete waste of time considering i left a very good and stable job previously. I am thoroughly disappointed with the recruitment team as a whole as i believe they are incentivised to recruit new staff and earn commission for this and therefore they lie in order to get you in. Management are extremely condescending and belittling. There is very much a state of hierarchy there with what i can only explain as the highest staff turnover rate I've ever experienced in this industry which says it all. Also i would like to add that the good reviews are fake. The management teams and marketing department ask new staff to post good reviews to balance it out with the bad and then they check that you have done it! Poor practices are common throughout the whole business.

Hello, Thanks for the review, however I work from the same office as this review is from, and none of what is being described rings true. Unfortunately Glassdoor do not require any proof that the individual ever worked in a company in order for them to leave a review. If you do work within the business, then you’ll know that I also work in the Cosham office, and I would encourage you to come in and discuss this with me (nobody has ever given me any feedback close to the above). If any one of these points were genuine I would very much welcome the chance to hear from you with some detail so I can look into this for you, rather than an anonymous online review. Kind regards Henry, COO

Pros

Offer a lot of training for beginners. You can learn the basics here. The product works when applied to the right business model. If you have a good run you can get a decent pay check.

Cons

I would start by saying that most of the 5 star reviews on here are manufactured. I was pretty excited to start working for this business after hearing the tales and antics that occurred. At first glance you could be easily mistaken for thinking it is a big happy family and everyone loves their job. They have an almost cult like brain washing approach to achieve complete dedication and trust from new employees but after a while everyone seems to notice the cracks. The market for the product is utterly saturated within the UK, more specifically, the type of companies that will actually become a long standing client and wont have to be pressured and forced into a minimum year contract only to lose money and drop off are far and few between. With this taken into account the plans to expand the company at an unsustainable rate go on blindly. Its genuinely quite difficult to know if management are oblivious to the direction this company is heading, or if deep down they know but are unable to backtrack and admit that changes may need to be made. The problem is, the whole company is structured around a seemingly unbreakable, adolescent, megalomaniacal roleplay, encouraged and cultivated by the directors who seem to think they are in Wall Street in the Eighties but sadly come off more like a cringeworthy Charlie Brooker satire. The company is rife with bullying which isnt surprising seeing as they have no HR department. If you are prepared to harass small companies with high pressure sales tactics reading from a script which was written by members of staff who haven't even picked up the phone in a long time then this is the place for you. If you are prepared to have no transparency or break down on your salary and commission to keep track of earnings, then this place is for you. If you are prepared to work 55-60 hour weeks being micromanaged by the minute involuntarily while only getting paid for 40 then this place is for you. There is a reason half of the team have walked out in the last 6 months. You care about KPI's more than looking after your staff.

Pros

If you are comfortable with the kind of work place environment that has constant forfeits for not meeting targets and actively promotes the 'laddish' rude culture. Then you may well fit in and manage to get up to the top level where to be fair, people seem to be making big money.

Cons

Like another review on here mentions, they really do sell you the dream. Promising a huge paycheck and a good work-life balance. But you quickly get swamped up in the 8am-6pm hours (if you're lucky) and are basically branded as a number from the get go. Might be worth doing for a couple of months to get a bit of extra money, but the staff turnover is SO HIGH for a reason.
