Toxic environment - very unhappy and confused staff.

Pros

Should offer a real chance to make a difference to people that need it most. should offer the potential to work with really good, dedicated, accomplished people on a number of very exciting projects - sadly it’s unlikely to happen since the merger and restructure of 3 organisations. Useless CEO “resigned”

Cons

Poorly managed restructure under new management. Original has since “resigned” but his management team and structure are still in place. Complaints to HR are ignored causing a massive lack of trust. Many highly qualified, dedicated staff are leaving or pushed out to be replaced by friends of the new management team with little or no industry knowledge. A toxic environment with highly demoralised staff.

Pros

Great work life balance, with overall a good benefits package to suit most

Cons

Slow moving organisation with outdated working practices. Lacks creativity, innovative attitudes especially in digital. Leadership is hierarchical and not sufficiently equipped with a skill set to support the complex needs of customers. Communication is self-congratulatory and more resembles a social media feed where important information is lost.

Pros

MaPS do genuinely care I feel about the well being of the employees. Excellent work life balance where you can shut down your laptop at the end of an evening and forget about work. Good holiday entitlement / matched DC pension contribution albiet capped at 10% Salary is ok

Cons

Micromanagement at the heart!!! Absolutely have to account for every minute. If you take too much time on a task, then management will question what you are doing. Changing workstream at the drop of a hat Lack of communication on changes and no consultation of front end staff who are treated like commodities. Enforced role changes on staff. Low moral and high staff turnover. A lot of back office pension specialists that are waiting for a pension.
