Pros

Free lunches (vegan options too) Air conditioning in the rooms

Cons

The word “Family” in the company’s name is probably the most ironic thing you will ever hear. Company that sells you a dream to work for them only to treat you like a slave. I have never had experience like this before. N Family apparently promotes health and well being but when you call in sick because you’re not well they will laugh it off. Weybridge setting is an absolute disaster. Policies and procedures are being broken daily no one cares. Shifts are being sent out on the weekend so you cannot plan anything for the next week! Flexibility in working? Ha ha! Forget that. They will choose it for you as there is no staff there so they will give you the most horrible shifts! The managers are not compassionate at all and treat you like some kind of a robot and put so much stress on the employees that it feels worse than hell. One of the deputies reports every single little thing to the manager so be careful when you’re breathing too loud. Not to mention lack of resources and activities for the children. They make you come to those ridiculous events on Saturdays even if you don’t want to/ can’t. Everyone has enough in that setting. If there’s one thing this place taught me that I hadn’t known before it’s depression and mental health issues. Thanks everyone, definitely won’t forget that! I hope karma comes quick.

Pros

You get free lunches, there is also chances to get small bonuses by passing moc ofsted and N inspections. You can also get a pay review each January. You also get £100 for work clothes when you start. Good pay. £500 for refering a friend Day off on your birthday. Good amount of holiday days! Staff working there are lovely! Food is yummy. You can go on trips with the children Parents and children are lovely

Cons

There is not enough food left if you take a late lunch. You do not use the EYFS, you use a personalised curriculum which is not very good, the next steps are very rigid and makes it hard to tailor to your key children. Only newly opened N nurseries have resources. my nursery has been open for 2 years and still doesn't have basic resources. You have a monthly budget which you can only have if the nursery does not use it for other things. For example no budget because it is being used for boards around the nursery. Managers are not good at supporting the rooms, or problems you have in them. It is a very unorganised nursery. No longer get paid overtime. High turnover of staff The pay wasn't reviewed during covid, even though the nursery was not shut and we risked our own health to come in to work still. communication between managers, staff and parents is not very good. Only pre-school can no forest school. No one that is in charge of behaviour

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, we are glad to hear that you enjoy the team culture and benefits at N. We have also taken onboard your comments regarding quality and can assure you that this is our biggest focus. All our nurseries have the same core list of resources, with generous monthly budgets for replenishing and adding to resources. Our Curriculum incorporates all of the EYFS areas of learning and development, in addition to N extra areas. The next steps are designed to pinpoint a specific skill or knowledge, but the delivery of that next step can be completely tailored to the child's interests and needs. Key Persons have the flexibility to select the next steps that are appropriate to their Key Children, and to teach them in the most appropriate manner for that child. We would welcome an opportunity to discuss your specific experience if you would like to reach out to the Education Team - Clare, Education Advisor.

Pros

Staff benefits - lunch, annual allowance, Some staff are nice when you see them Premises are modern and accessible Website looks good and fresh

Cons

Permanent staff are recruited and sent to work elsewhere to provide cover, sometimes at short notice. This practice can last for months, you’re not told this when they recruit you. Culture of fear about speaking up, you will be penalised. Staff aren’t content, high sickness absence and turnover in other branches, due to management style and behaviours Lack of care and support for staff, I think many are looking to move on. Taking on children some who need extra care without understanding what they need. Had to leave to protect my mental health.
