Pros

Working with different cultures and languages.

Cons

Absolutely horrendous company to work for. Management are horrible and have a clique culture and if your face doesn't fit they will make your life hell and force you out. They only care about numbers. This means your performance is meant to be above all else, with no regard for the customer, so if your call is longer than the expected call handling time you will get scolded by your team leader, even if it was an impeccable call. What's more, you may be led to believe that you can get a better position and they love taking advantage of agents by giving more tasks with the promise of development and career progression in the distant future but in reality you will be stuck in an agent position for an undetermined amount of time as lot of openings are pre-filled with un-fair processes. The senior manager has miniscule knowledge of the products and couldn't make sensible decisions. The place has many problems, so people come and go on a regular basis. If you like to be treated like a number and have no dignity I encorage you to apply. Othetwise please save yourself time.

Pros

People, colleagues are great. Salary is OK

Cons

This post was flagged already trying to remove it, as example of the following content. During my time at the company, 3 years, I witnessed deeply unfair practices and a discouraging work culture. Favouritism was rampant—some employees received job offers or benefits like remote work or promotions before any official communication was made. People with no skills or certifications in top positions (different levels in all departments including HR). What’s most concerning is that the management, including HR, was the one behind these decisions. This made it impossible to approach HR with trust, as any attempt to report issues or seek fairness was blocked from inside the department. (Not sure if London is aware of these practices) Also, only if you have British passport can access to real promotions. This is not ethical when the 90% of the office comes from different countries around the world. If they receive a bad feedback in Glassdoor immediately starts a persecution of the person, eg. Sending emails to all the employees asking who posted the review, then some days later the review can dissapear from Glassdoor. These remarks created a toxic and divisive environment. Even more troubling: when misconduct or irregularities were discovered involving employees close to the management, internal investigations were abruptly stopped, and these issues were never reported to the company’s headquarters in China. Some colleagues were accused of serious offenses without evidence, while others were protected based on personal connections. This double standard contributed to a culture of fear, mistrust, and inequality.

Pros

HR are professional, free drinks, multicultural office.

Cons

When any problems come up Like lots of calls or emails everyone from the cleaner to the coaches, team leads, trainers are all ordered to down tools and jump on calls or emails. This happens daily so no one can get any work done, while We’re all on calls everything else falls apart which is no surprise to anyone except the higher managers. Almost unbelievably the fourth and only operations manager has now also gone. I think the average length of service for an ops at trip.com is 3 months. Who will be next for the poisoned chalice? At what point do the powers in charge realise something is seriously wrong here. Trip acts like a narcissist who can’t keep any relationships going and keeps blaming every partner who leaves them, at some point you have to realise you’re the problem, not the people leaving. People do not want hammered from the first second they arrive at work to the second they leave and beyond. Trip.com makes doing a good job impossible with how it’s set up and the demands on people.
