Today is a big day for British Gas, as with great excitement, we introduce our newest (and fluffiest) customers… the Things! 💙 Our new family aren’t just all soft blue fur, cosy and cute, they represent something really meaningful: the feeling of being with British Gas. That sense of calm, comfort and confidence that everything at home is running smoothly – so our customers can focus on what matters most. This is more than a brand refresh; it’s a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. Our new brand endline, “Taking care of things,” captures our promise to give peace of mind to the millions of homes we serve across Britain – keeping them warm and working. And soon, the Things will be popping up everywhere – helping us connect in a more human and relatable way with our customers. We’re super excited about this next phase for British Gas; we love the Things and what they stand for, but most of all, we hope our customers – and those we’d love to be our customers – do.

📷🌍This week, we encouraged our colleagues to get their walking boots on and share the amazing places from which they work around the UK. It gave us a chance not only to get some fresh air during our busy days but also to share pictures of stunning scenery, paw-some pets and even some farm animals along the way! We are incredibly proud of our commitment to being FlexFirst. From childcare to furry friends, we listened to our people and understood that they work best when they are comfortable and have a flexible working model that suits their individual needs. We embrace the opportunity to give our colleagues a choice to work from anywhere whilst ensuring they can still connect and engage with their teams through office days, employee networks and virtual events. We’re hiring, and the team would love to see your favourite walking route! Discover our live vacancies here >>>> https://bit.ly/3Dykn09
Inspiring our future women workforce On Wednesday 19th October, our early careers team travelled to London to represent Centrica at the annual STEM Woman’s event. The event was attended by over 750 STEM Students and recent graduates that identify as female or non-binary and gave our team an opportunity to give an insight into life as a graduate to potential future colleagues, many of whom travelled specially to visit our stand. The team did a fantastic job interacting and engaging with hundreds of our future woman workforce and proudly represented Centrica’s drive not only for diversity and inclusion but also for providing excellent career development opportunities to our people. Well done, team! Last week, our graduate and year-in-role vacancies went live, and we are actively recruiting for our future leaders.
