We are positioned 13th in the UK Best Workplaces list, up from 17th last year. The accreditation is based on last year’s colleague survey and a comprehensive audit of our organisational culture, including our management policies and practices. The main factor in our success was the positive results from last year’s colleague survey, which included findings such as that 86% of colleagues feel a sense of pride in what they do, 80% agree that they are offered training or development to further themselves professionally and 75% would recommend working here to others. Our overall ‘trust rating’ was 74%, up two percentage points from last year.
We support many football fans and as more clubs become accessible, a trip to the game enjoyed by millions every week, is becoming a reality for those that we support. Recently, colleagues within our resourcing team set up camp in our Head office kitchen all day with a laptop and some Glassdoor goodies to give away. Everyone in the Resourcing department took turns to cover the “stand”, talking to colleagues who came in to the kitchen, telling them what Glassdoor and Indeed review sites are and how important it is that we get more reviews from colleagues. We had approximately 60 reviews on Glassdoor at the time. But after receiving a lot of interest throughout the day we’ve seen another 9 new reviews come through. Reviews are moderated by Glassdoor, so can take a while to come through, so we hope to see this number rise. Thank you to all those who have already left us a review, but if you haven’t left us a review yet, we’d love to hear your feedback!

In this Guardian feature, Adrian, 55, Dimensions' support worker based in Cardiff, shares how he transitioned from being a builder, to working in social care. We’ve launched a brand new ‘Mental Health First Aiders’ scheme, training 80 colleagues, following the guidelines set by Mental Health First Aid England. Alongside the free counselling available through our Employee Assistance Programme, Our newly qualified Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs), based around the country, are on hand to provide support to any colleagues who may be experiencing poor mental health or emotional distress.
