Here are just some of the resources available to our colleagues and managers on the topic of Menopause; 💚 Menopause policy -The policy is here to aid our colleagues experiencing menopause symptoms and highlights all the different ways that we can support, so our colleagues can decide what’s best for them. It includes information for the individual about the stages of menopause and symptoms, the support available including time off to attend medical appointments, our Colleague Support Fund and Virtual GP, how managers can help. 💚 Support for managers -Our menopause manager guide is there to help managers feel confident and prepared for any conversation and foster an inclusive working environment in which everyone feels that they belong. It helps them understand and reduce the barriers that could prevent a colleague going through the menopause from performing and/or developing to their full potential and identify appropriate changes or adjustments to support team members and help them thrive at work. 💚 Menopause buddies -Our menopause buddies have been through training with external experts. They are there to listen, talk, share information and signpost to any further resources if needed. 💚 E-learning - We have created an e-learning module to help. Even if it doesn’t impact them directly, we encourage colleagues to take this module, to support other colleagues.

We are stepping up our commitment to having sustainable operations through an extension of our solar panel installation project, with over 2,600 being added this financial year. New panels are being installed across Dunelm’s stores and support sites. We recently added photovoltaic (PV) panels to a number of locations, including 442 at the Bristol store, 410 at Derby and 262 panels have also been installed on the roof at Dunelm’s Head Office in Syston, Leicester, with plans to install more over the coming months. This year’s programme will produce 930,700 kWh’s of electricity, significantly boosting our renewable energy credentials. Alongside the solar panel project, Dunelm is improving sustainability across its operations, including a focus on energy efficiency across its sites. Things we are doing include: · Transitioning to Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) qualifying electricity sources for the majority of sites in 2019 · Engaging colleagues to promote energy efficiency · Replacing gas-fired heating and refrigerants with lower-carbon alternatives · Increasing recycling of waste Dunelm’s approach to sustainability is centred on being Good & Circular, with a purpose to look after all our homes, now and for generations to come.
