We’ve partnered with Stepping Up diversity and Inclusion since its inception, over six years ago. So, it’s fantastic to have been recognised as an ESG Champion. HL colleagues have taken part in the leadership development programme as both mentors and mentees over the years, and we’ve helped develop four free management training workshops. Our very own Josie and Sophie (pictured) are part of the latest cohort to graduate🎓
The ‘FTSE Women Leaders 2024’ Report is out and we’re proud of our progress 🙌 ⭐ We were placed 41st in the FTSE 250, up from 61st last year ⭐ There are now 163 FTSE 250 companies with at least one woman in the four key roles, Chair, Senior Independent Director, CEO & Finance Director. Of these, HL have a woman in three of the four key roles, and 20 companies each have two women in the four key roles.
This week it’s National Apprenticeship Week, an annual celebration of all things apprenticeships 🎉 At HL, it’s a time for us to celebrate the achievements of our apprentices, promote opportunities, and reflect on the value apprentices add to our organisation. Did you know we currently have 80 colleagues studying towards an apprenticeship? Here's what some of them hard to say. As part of National Apprenticeship Week, our apprentices will be going out to deliver assembly talks and workshops at local schools, ahead of our 2024 scheme applications opening next month, in the hope of attracting local talent to apply. 2024 will be the third consecutive year of bringing in cohorts of apprentices into the Operations and Digital functions of our business. Applications will be opening soon, so watch this space 👀
Every year we like to decorate our office to celebrate #BristolPride and this year was no exception! If you're out and about in Bristol this week why not take and share your own photo using #HLPride.
Amazing to see that the fundraising of our HL colleagues and foundation has funded a brand new Wellbeing Centre. This will be used by Help Bristol's Homeless to support the wider homeless community in Bristol.
Its Pride month 2020. We're taking a look at last year's celebrations, when we were all together in the office.
To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, we've got two virtual talks lined up with coach Ben Leppier. Ben will talk to our colleagues about managing mental health through focusing on what they can control.
We are marking Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme of Kindness by recognising it in one another. We have also started a 'Wellbeing Wednesday' email for some further resources and support to our colleagues, keeping us connected while we are apart.
