Leonardo has been named in Glassdoor’s list of the Best Places To Work 2026 for the second year running! We are incredibly grateful for the recognition our employees have given us by sharing their feedback about Life at Leonardo on Glassdoor. Milestone reached at Paris-Charles de Gaulle ✈️ We’re proud to share a major milestone for Leonardo Automation at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, where the TCN Terminal project has now entered the Regular Service Verification (VSR) phase. Since launching in 2022, this project has brought together teams across engineering, automation and systems integration to deliver a large-scale, high-performance baggage handling solution for Groupe ADP. As system integrator, our colleagues have been working with cutting-edge cross-belt sorter technology to help ensure reliability, efficiency and resilience in one of Europe’s busiest airports. This achievement reflects the expertise, collaboration and commitment of our people and partners, and highlights the kind of complex, meaningful projects our teams contribute to every day. A huge thank you to everyone involved. It’s milestones like these that show how Leonardo continues to shape the future of aviation automation.
At Leonardo, many of our early-career colleagues describe their career as a chance to learn quickly, take on real responsibility, and build skills that last. We recently spoke with Ben Beach, Madison Coupe, Lia S. and Candia May Hayward about their experiences on our UK apprenticeship and graduate schemes — what surprised them, how they’ve grown, and what day-to-day life at Leonardo has been like so far. If you’re considering an early career in aerospace or engineering, their stories offer an honest insight into what to expect.
As the season comes to a close, Leonardo would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community, past, present, and future team members alike. Wishing you a fantastic festive period with your friends and family.
A critically endangered bumblebee species, the shrill carder bee, has been given a boost in Somerset thanks to volunteers from Leonardo in Yeovil. The team joined Somerset Council’s Green Estate rangers at Ham Hill to plant a specially designed mix of wildflowers that provide essential late-season forage for the bee. Once widespread across southern England, the shrill carder bee now survives in only five UK populations, including one in the Somerset Levels. The new wildflower-rich habitats—featuring species like knapweeds, viper’s bugloss, meadow vetchling, birdsfoot trefoil, and wild marjoram were developed with input from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to support the bee throughout its flight season. The planting will also benefit other pollinators. Both Leonardo and Somerset Council staff highlighted the ecological and historical importance of Ham Hill and the value of collaborative conservation efforts.

This year, for Black History Month, we celebrated and honoured our black colleagues by hosting events across our sites. By learning about black history and culture, we highlighted the incredible achievements and heritage of Black communities. Our people attended multiple sessions from our partner organisation Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), who hosted inspiring events throughout the month, continuing essential conversations across the industry. While Black History Month is over, our commitment isn't! We look forward to continuing to celebrate diverse talent at Leonardo, beginning next week at the AFBE Gala and Awards.
