We were proud to mark the start of Armed Forces Week today, as nationwide flag-raising ceremonies took place across the country 🚩 This included welcoming partners from charity Combat Stress to our headquarters at Cody Technology Park in Farnborough. We also attended Princes Gardens in Aldershot for Rushmoor Borough Council's flag-raising ceremony ahead of the national Armed Forces Day event taking in the borough this weekend, which we are proud to sponsor. These moments of recognition bring our colleagues together to honour the dedication, service and sacrifice of the UK’s armed forces, including those who serve, veterans, reservists, and military families within our workforce.
We are proud to be named Celebrating Forces Families Business of the Year, a well‑deserved recognition of our commitment to veterans, reservists and forces families, and of the brilliant partnerships we’ve built, including Recruit for Spouses. We look forward to continuing to work together to make a real difference. #cffawards2026 #cffawards26 #celebratingforcesfamilies
Proud moment for the team this week at the CyberFirst Awards Dinner in Glasgow 👏 QinetiQ was awarded the “Most Innovative / Novel Contribution” industry award for delivering the CyberFirst Advanced course. As long-standing supporters of CyberFirst for over a decade, we work closely with the National Cyber Security Centre to inspire secondary school students and open doors into cyber and technology careers. Last summer, our new delivery model reached 70 students across multiple universities and QinetiQ sites. This summer, it grows even further — with support from 12 universities across all four home nations, we’ll engage over 300 young people aged 16–17. The five-day programme introduces encryption, digital forensics, open-source intelligence and penetration testing, alongside real-world challenges, expert speakers from industry, academia and government, and a competitive Capture the Flag finale. As CyberFirst transitions to TechFirst under DSIT, QinetiQ remains committed to developing future talent, supporting the UK’s skills agenda, and strengthening the pipeline into this critical sector. 🚀
