We have been awarded a £20 million contract by the UK Ministry of Defence, to build a new anti-jamming test facility. Housed at MOD Boscombe Down in Wiltshire, the new test facility is set to be one of Europe’s largest and will help military kit to be better protected from attempts to jam GPS devices. The capacity of the new ‘silent hanger’ will be far greater than any of the existing UK facilities - it will be large enough to fit a range of military assets including, Protector drones, Chinook helicopters and F-35 fighter jets.

Amazing things can happen when brilliant minds come together. To help shape our Net Zero plan, we challenged our early careers community through asking - how do you see QinetiQ in 2050? ♻️ The 'Sustainable Six' team seized this opportunity to work on a topic that really mattered to them, focusing on sustainable disposal of energetic materials. With internal research and development funding, they are now conducting an in-depth study to explore the feasibility of their innovative approach. 💡 "Net Zero is incredibly important to my generation; we want to help the generations coming after us and make sure we are creating the world that we want to live in and the generations to come want to live in as well.” - Ellie, Sustainable Six team member. Watch the video below to learn more about their sustainable solution! 👇
