Just some of our highlights from the most incredible three days at The Royal International Air Tattoo... ⬇ ◾ Seven aircraft from our ETPS/QinetiQ fleet were together on static display - our largest ever participation. ◾ Our graduates and apprentices did their bit for STEM, sharing career insights with students on the Inspire Stage. ◾ We showcased a selection of our UAVs alongside the Air & Space Warfare Centre, demonstrating the many benefits of our partnership for the warfighter. ◾ In the TechnoZone, our Early Careers Team joined up with CyberFirst and challenged students to various STEM activities, including a "Build a Banshee" competition! ◾ We were honoured to host an array of guests from all over the world in our chalet. Meet Darcy. A volunteer firefighter who, thanks to a flexible work-life balance, can be there for his local community when they need him the most. Combining his paid work and volunteering skills for mutual benefit, Darcy brings his leadership and safety experience from the fire station back into his role at QinetiQ Australia as a dedicated Workshop Manager, ensuring a robust and resilient safe workplace culture. This time last week, we were in the midst of celebrating our outstanding people at our Global Recognition Gala 2024, with live events – connected virtually – in Australia, the US and the UK. 🏆 360 shortlisted award nominations 🥇 25 winners 🌍 3 countries and time-zones Coordinating three simultaneous live events worldwide was a complex logistical feat, but it was worth every effort to unite our people in one truly inspiring celebration! 🎉
We’re proud to support the Armed Forces. We’re proud to celebrate the work our nations’ Armed Forces do and salute the part that QinetiQ’s military community of veterans, reservists, military families and cadet force adult volunteers play in keeping our nation safe and secure. This community makes a huge contribution to our company through their unique military skills and experience. Throughout the week we have flown Armed Forces Day flags on our key sites, participated in local community events and our reservists joined in the country-wide ‘wear your uniform to work’ day on 26 June. QinetiQ’s Veterans and Reservists’ Network helps to connect and support our military community.
As a company working in the defence industry, we feel honoured to have so many former servicemen and women make up Team QinetiQ. Their diverse skills and knowledge are hugely valuable to us, and their stories and experiences while serving are consistently enlightening and inspiring. We’ve been lucky enough to interview one of our Cyber Team Leaders, Anthony, who bravely opened up about his experience leaving the Air Force, being injured, joining QinetiQ and competing in the Invictus Games.
