We’ve recently wrapped up our first-ever Bridges Mentoring Programme, delivered in partnership with Scene Change, and we couldn’t be prouder of what this cohort has achieved! Bridges is a 30-week development journey combining mentoring circles, workshops and 1:1 coaching, all designed to build confidence, strengthen personal impact and support long-term career progression. At our closing session, we focused on reflection to momentum: how we sustain the networks, confidence and learning built over the past 30 weeks, so growth doesn’t stop here. Thank you to everyone involved and especially to Scene Change for supporting the cohort with such care and expertise. In celebration of Learning at Work Week 2026 and this year’s theme, ‘Many Ways to Learn’, we were delighted to host an ‘Explore Apprenticeships’ webinar led by Wendy Winter from BPP. Wendy shared valuable insights into the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities available, helping to challenge common misconceptions that might deter individuals from considering an apprenticeship. Alongside this, our Learning and Development team led a week of activity showcasing the many ways our people can learn in the workplace, grow their careers, and shape their own paths at XPS. It was an interesting and educational week focused on broadening perspectives and championing continuous learning.

On behalf of the XPS Women’s Network, we'd like to thank everyone who took part in our 'Give to Gain' learning challenge and fundraising activity throughout March. The month marked a celebration of both International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, encouraging colleagues to connect, learn new skills and support each another along the way. We’re also delighted to share that, thanks to the fantastic efforts of XPS colleagues, we raised just under £350 for Women’s Aid, alongside an additional £100 for The Girls’ Network and Smart Works combined. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make such a positive impact.
