The XPS Disability and Neurodiversity Network would like to thank Ted Talk speaker and Paralympian, Wendy Smith PLY, for her inspirational and thought-provoking talk today, held in honour of UK Disability History Month. Wendy spoke about the importance of resilience, flexibility (or "a different way of doing things") and treating every interaction as unique, with a unique "map of reality". It would be impossible to be unaffected by Wendy's enthusiasm, energy and "unstoppable" personality. "I love your attitude of "why not?". Just because it hasn't been done yet, doesn't mean it can't be! ", commented Kim Crown, XPS Learning and Development Specialist, after the talk.
