      Trial shift payment only resolved after complaint

      Pros

      Friendly team members and a busy working environment. The staff I interacted with were polite and supportive during the trial shift.

      Cons

      During the trial shift, I was assigned physically demanding tasks for most of the time with very limited training or observation opportunities. It felt more like covering operational work than assessing suitability for the role. In addition, payment for the trial shift was not provided initially and was only resolved after I made a complaint on the matter.

      Pros

      Free food on shift as well as loyalty for family. LGBTQ+ supported.

      Cons

      Overworked as a back of house member you get no support from head office and your getting paid the same as foh staff when you are doing 2 times the work ALONE, while foh have multiple people. They will dangle a promotion in front of you make you do the work and then still not pay you for the extra work you have done because someone forgot to sign you off. Absolutely no work/life balance at all. Say goodbye to the free time you still have as you will be stuck behind the cell walls of boojum.
