This week Demi Stamford-Plows, Senior Care Adviser at our Head Office in Portland, celebrated her one-year anniversary with Agincare. Demi and the team are the first point of call for enquiries - advising on the best possible care solutions to meet people’s need and requirements. Having a background in Hospitality, Demi was new to Health and Social Care but soon found a passion for helping people in the community who need it most. Very happy with her change of career, Demi said: “I am really enjoying my job as I feel like I am making a real difference to people’s lives. "I would definitely recommended a role in the Health and Social Care to anyone wishing to embark on a rewarding and dynamic career." #proudtocare

Yesterday we had an amazing opportunity to spend the day following the life of a Domiciliary Care Worker in Bristol. Our Head of Recruitment, Tom, joined Emily to find out what a day for her looks like. Tom said: “I’ve always said that the best way to recruit to a job, is to get hands on and understand the role.” Our team is always growing and on the look out for people who share our values. We would love to hear from you. If interested, please reach out for an informal discussion. #agincare #recruitment #hiringnow #adayinthelife #care #careworker #carework #applynow
The team at our Cheriton Care Home in Dorchester, brought the local community together to experience the virtual dementia tour. Through the use of specialist equipment and environments, the virtual dementia tour gave participants a powerful insight of what people living with dementia may experience. To help spread awareness and education of dementia, the team invited relatives of residents, local healthcare professionals, and opened the doors to members of the public who wanted to discover more about the condition. The event was a success and well-attended - resulting in a wide cross-section of people discussing their own personal experiences, feelings and thoughts about dementia in an informal and welcoming setting. Thank you to all who attended, especially the many relatives of the residents, for taking part. #proudtocare #dementia #dementiaawareness #community Train2Care
