How lucky are we to have this beautiful beach on our doorstep at office? In previous years we've done litter picking/beach cleans in conjunction with both The Wildlife Trust and Keep Britain Tidy/Love My Beach. In June this year, we made the decision to purchase our own litter picking equipment so that teams at office can regularly do their bit to reduce the huge volume of litter left on our local beaches. #lovewhereyoulive #timegiving #charitablegiving
Some of our Replenishment team popped over to RNLI Blackpool last night to present them with a cheque for half of their team donation, the other half going to the local Marie Curie group. It was the first time in 18 months that they were able to have most of the crew there for training, so a very special night. Each Beaverbrooks store & office department are able to choose a charity of their choice to support with a team donation each year. This year we are lucky enough to have £100 per person to donate. Not only this, but through other Beaverbrooks charitable incentives and schemes, Gill has been able to support the RNLI, her charity of choice, to give her time to volunteer and to donate further funds. In the past few years, this has included £6,600 towards a new boat and £4779 for 3 new crew kits. Gill say 'I am so very proud that I work for this company, and they have encouraged and supported me in giving my time and donated money to a charity that I love'.
Huge congratulations to Emma at our White Rose store, who celebrated her 25 years at Beaverbrooks this week. Emma receive a long service bonus for her fantastic milestone and enjoyed celebrating with her the team. Enjoy the gin, Emma!

They discussed the fundamental values that drive best practice at Beaverbrooks, how collaborative culture and a happy workforce is key to delivering success, and my journey from sales consultant to managing director. They also chatted about the importance of putting our people first, being yourself in the workplace, and our ongoing charity work which has seen us donate in excess of £16.3m to over 750 charities since the year 2000 via the Beaverbrooks Charitable Trust.
