Neurodiversity Celebration Week was launched to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived. The goal is to create more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual – people like Chris, for instance: “I’m very proud to be taking part in Neurodiversity Celebration Week. And I’m also proud of the part Currys is playing to bring this to life.” Chris recently went through the process of obtaining a formal autism diagnosis with the support of the business and his team. We 💜 hybrid working! Colleagues from the Talent Acquisition team recently took the opportunity to meet up at the fabulous Birmingham WeWork site. Although team members are based all over the country, they have access to WeWork sites nationwide. That means they can mingle, meet new people and catch up face-to-face. It’s official: hybrid working in (plus pub lunches!).
The best way to learn about tech? Get your hands on it. The Newry store team recently had the chance to do just that at a brilliant mini workshop. It was an opportunity for colleagues to get up close and personal with products from some of the biggest brands around. Think Sony, Google, Sky – and that’s just the start! Currys is the first-ever winner of Reed Learning’s Best Apprenticeship Employer of the Year award! Jonny, our Emerging Talent Manager, explained how apprenticeships help upskill colleagues and provide skills for life: “Currys has developed more than 1,300 apprentices across the business.
