Our professional drivers are the face of DHL Supply Chain on the road, and they often go above and beyond to deliver for our customers. Recently, we celebrated 29 of our most talented drivers at the UK and Ireland Driver of the Year Awards! It was a fun, action-packed day dedicated to recognising outstanding driving performance and rewarding true ambassadors for our organisation.
We’re thrilled to welcome our new graduates, apprentices and industrial placement students to DHL Supply Chain! In September, we hosted a two-day induction event, helping us introduce our next generation talent to our culture, values and the work we do that makes us the number one logistics provider. Between participating in a board Q&A, listening to insightful sessions from senior leaders and taking part in team-building activities, it was great to see the new cohort networking and getting excited about starting their new placements. Best of luck to all our next generation talent! 💫
As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, DHL Supply Chain recognises the incredible value that ex-service personnel bring to our organisation. During September, we held an exclusive event at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, bringing together DHL hiring managers, fellow covenant signatories, military leaders and industry bodies to promote the unique skill sets and experiences that military veterans offer with the aim of increasing the number of veterans progressed through from application to interview stage. Expert speakers brought to life a veteran's career journey, the unique qualities they develop in the Forces and the resettlement process, all with the purpose of helping them overcome challenges in securing civilian roles. We also enjoyed a tour of the historic Old College, learnt about the Marks and Spencer Forces Community Network, gained insights from Shadow Minister for Veterans Andrew Bowie MP before finishing with a keynote presentation from former Special Forces soldier, TV personality and author, Ollie Ollerton. A huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and showed their enthusiasm for embracing the incredible potential offered by military veterans.
DHL Supply Chain has been named the number one Logistics Service Provider by CILT (UK) for the third consecutive year! Check out what this achievement means to our UKI CEO, Saul Resnick.
Logistics has traditionally been perceived as a male-dominated sector, where the number of women is limited and those who do work in the field find it difficult to progress to leadership roles. DHL recognises the need for gender diversity and is actively working towards providing opportunities for women to thrive in the field. Find out more in our Women in Leadership campaign.
