We're pleased to announce that we're shortlisted for 'Best use of an EEM Charitable donation' award at the Building Communities Awards 2024 ⭐🏆 Our transformative project supported MHA retirement living residents who are gifted their time to become MHA befriending volunteers. The volunteers provide companionship and vital social interaction to isolated older people. The benefits of befriending are not short-term; they have long-term positive effects. Engaging in regular social interactions and maintaining connections with befriending volunteers can help older individuals age in place, delaying the need for more intensive care or support. We're looking forward to attending the awards, whatever the outcome (we'll let you know if we win!)
