A couple at MHA Aughton Park where they had their first job, have celebrated a combined service of over 30 years. Joy and Celestino came to the UK from the Phillipines and have loved working in the care home, saying, “I don't think I can see myself working anywhere else. “The staff and residents are a great bunch of people and I really enjoy coming into work. “I have been here for 15 years, and I am very happy and keep smiling every day when I am at work.” If you'd like information about sponsorship, visit mha.org.uk/sponsorship
Our latest #FixCareForAll campaign focuses on our care colleagues - the people who make a difference everyday. We're calling for a Social Care Council who can be the voice of the care sector. We've passed our 1,500 signatures target - can you help us get to 2,000? Click the link below to find out more and add your name.
We're coming to the end of National Befriending Week - something that's important to us at MHA as we match our volunteer befrienders with an older person who is feeling lonely. Make sure you check out our social media posts to see the difference befriending makes to older people (and maybe you'll want to sign up as a volunteer befriender yourself?!)
