We’re bursting with pride to have received an Outstanding workplace accreditation from Best Companies. It was only back in January that we set out our ambition to achieve this accolade. And on our very first survey, we achieved it! A big thank you to all our people for your support in making Policy Expert a business that’ll soon be … World Class!
Policy Expert in Motherwell marked the conclusion of International Pride Month with a mini-Pride event in the office. A 'Lunch & Learn' session was hosted by AJ Gavin (Claims Handler), Maria Devlin (Counter Fraud Specialist) and Ross Tate (Lead Risk Manager) and attended by people from across the business. In addition to decorations, face painting and rainbow-themed cakes, a raffle raised £300 for LGBT Health and Wellbeing, an Edinburgh-based LGBT charity. It was a great day that celebrated the diverse workplace at Policy Expert.
With inclusivity an important pillar of our business, our Talent acquisition team (seen here as Vikki, Duncan, and Amy) have been busy delivering our newest suite of in-house multi-generation training¸ to raise awareness to the different generations within our community here at Policy Expert! Through these workshops, we explore how every candidate and colleague will have different expectations, interests, values, preferences, and opinions and therefore how we can better their experience either when interviewing with us and being part of our Policy Expert team. Lots more exciting things to come on this as we are just at the tip of the iceberg!
Following on from our Multi-generational training, this month we have focused on delivering Neurodiversity training across our offices. It’s so important to us to take some time out to look at ways we can create a supportive and collaborative culture. A culture truly focused on understanding and celebrating the unique perspectives of all our colleagues at Policy expert. Here are some of the Milton Keynes Senior Management Team discussing some insights to better understand Neurodiversity – hope you enjoyed the session!

We’re winners! Last week the Motor team won the much coveted ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ accolade at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards. We’re delighted as it’s a fabulous endorsement of the hard work and commitment the team delivers every day. What’s more, it’s testament to our ongoing commitment to making insurance better for all our customers. Well done team!
A few months ago, we held a Physical Wellbeing Wednesday in our London office which included a us bringing in a Health Kiosk. Following on from that event, we received an anonymous report on the kiosk’s findings, which indicated that some of our colleagues could do with more support on maintaining their heart age. Being passionate about our peoples wellbeing, this prompted us to invite Lily Soutter to host a webinar on ‘Secrets for a Health Heart’, which we were thrilled so many of our colleagues attended and found so useful. Our Nutritional Wellbeing day also saw people bringing in and sharing some baked healthy goods, smoothie making and team quizzes! A fun day had by all and more to come….
