We are all super excited to have our new charity partnership with Alzheimer's Research UK. Straight away our teams from around the UK went into action not letting the grass grow under their feet. Events were organised and with so much more to come this partnership will be so rewarding. Many braved the awful weather and joined Step Out (for a cure) events. While the weather wasn't kind to us, our amazing teams kept going and walked miles around the country. Well done everyone
At Roadchef we have the best brand partners. This week Tracy and Andrea from Costa Head Office came to visit our team in Norton Canes this week. They took the opportunity to recognise our own Noah and Linda. Congratulations to Noah who was awarded a hugely prestigious Bronze Flying Bean. For those of you who don’t know this is an award only given to Baristas who are fantastic at what they do and take massive pride in all things Costa, fantastic achievement Noah, well done! Linda was awarded a Warmth badge, this is an award given to those who excel in all things customer service and bring a glow to everyone’s day. Well done Linda, keep bringing that vibe! Thanks to you both for your efforts today and to the whole Costa team for a very positive day.
As our award-winning, fundraising-bucket-busting, £5.6m-raising partnership with Cancer Research UK (CRUK) comes to an end at the end of this month, we gathered some special people to share our special moments and a special message for all those who've supported our efforts over the last 6 years.... It's been a priviledge supporting such an amazing charity.
At Roadchef, our Support Office holds a monthly meeting known as a huddle. Each month, a different Board member hosts and presents at the meeting. Our latest huddle was hosted by HR Director Laura Bunn, who updated the team on the recent training attended by the DEI forum in July. During the July DEI training, the team watched a video titled "Inclusion Starts with I." Laura played this video during the huddle, and it resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. It's definitely worth watching and demonstrates how inclusion impacts us all.
It's really important to all of our Roadchef employees to make sure we are inclusive. This week members of our Recruitment team visited our friends at Ashbrooke School in Sunderland, part of the Witherslack Group who we are proud to support. We met with Students who are about to embark on their employment journeys so what better way to support our employees of the future than to give them advice and practical experience of completing application forms and interviews. We loved our visit and can't wait to return. Thank you for having us
Raindrops keep falling ☔️🌧️ It might be grey outside, but our new umbrella art installation at Roadchef Sedgemoor is adding a splash of color! 🎨 We're excited to partner with the ADHD Foundation to raise awareness about neurodiversity as part of our DEI initiatives across Roadchef. Together, we're supporting everyone in the workplace.
At Roadchef we are proud of the partnerships we have with national and local charities. During a recent poll we asked all of our employees to select our next national charity partner. and the results are in, we are proud to announce Alzheimer's Research UK were selected. We are looking forward to raising lots and lots of money in our usual creative ways while having lots of fun!
Here at Roadchef we are incredibly proud of our partnership with Witherslack Group. We are committed to giving opportunities to everyone allowing them to thrive and succeed as part of the Roadchef family. The video show the Students recent visit with the team at Watford Gap.
