Exciting news from our Regional Sales Team! Our Regional Sales Manager Peter Sugden introduced an incentive to maintain momentum and keep driving our incredible team of salespeople. We are celebrating the exceptional individuals who have gone above and beyond, exceeding over £100k in sales in just one month! Steve Kench-cannon kicked things off as the first recipient back in September. Following suit in October, we celebrated jim whitehead, Matthew Bradley and Keir Ross' outstanding performances. Our Regional Sales team is currently hitting new heights and delivering outstanding results and Peter's initiative has proven to be a real driver, fostering focus and dedication within the team. We applaud our outstanding team members who have been working hard to drive such results, each of them exceeding £100k in sales individually over the last couple of months, and we applaud their continued contributions to our success. Here's to a motivated and high-performing team! Keep up the incredible work.
As proud sponsors, SECOM attended Child Safety Media's Tandridge ‘Junior Citizen’ child safety VIP day Tuesday 17th October. The Chairman of Tandridge District Council, Cllr Chris Botten, gave a great speech on how impactful and important this programme is for Year 6 pupils, and they sat in educational and engaging safety workshops presented by the agencies. A big well done and thank you to: Children and Family Health Surrey (School Nurses) Network Rail , Southern Rail/Thameslink and British Transport Police Thames Basin Heaths Partnership Hope UK SECOM Plc South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust Our MD Satoru Awano commented, "It's great to hear that all the sessions went well and that they received positive feedback. It's an excellent opportunity not only to contribute to society but also to get our staff involved in such a meaningful way."
We are proud to sponsor this year's Tandridge Junior Citizen Child Safety event in partnership with Child Safety Media, taking place this week and next at Lingfield Park Resort. We were a sponsor of the event last year. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to sponsor the event again and be a participating agency actively presenting educational safety workshops to over 700 children from local Tandridge primary schools. Our workshop provides invaluable safety tips and information on how to stay safe when you're home alone, fire safety and the different types of security services we provide to help keep us all safe. We even devised a safety checklist and evacuation plan they can take and use at home. This event is pivotal in empowering Year 6 pupils as they transition from primary to secondary school. As safety is our core value, we are committed to supporting and protecting young people as they grow up and gain independence. Together, we can help make the world safer for our future generations. We look forward to a fun and engaging week!

Did you know SECOM run an OFSTED approved apprenticeship programme? We have been running this scheme since 2017 and have had many apprenticeships pass and start their successful journeys with SECOM. We spoke to Tom who started his apprenticeship as an engineer in 2018. He was our first apprentice to achieve a distinction in this assessment and only the 2nd in the country out of 500 assessments. Tom started his career at SECOM as a trainee installation engineer before moving to the Service department in Hainault. Then Tom decided to join the SECOM security apprenticeship, learning the fundamentals of progressing within a career as a Security Engineer, including understanding and applying industry regulations. Tom undertook the Security pathway end point assessment and passed the apprenticeship at distinction level, which all of us at SECOM are very proud of. Tom has since progressed into a Service supervisor position and is enjoying the new challenges and responsibilities while being a key part of driving a team of hard working engineers. We are proud to have you as part of the SECOM family Tom! If you or anyone you know would be interested in becoming a SECOM apprentice, you can find out more via this link!
