Investing in our employees' development remains one of our top priorities and we’ve been working hard to adapt our L&D plans for these unique circumstances. This month we launched Stellar - our groundbreaking new customer service programme, which will launch us into the stratosphere of delivering even better service and achieve our vision of being one of the best service providers in the UK. For the first half of the year, Stellar will be delivered virtually. We'll focus on communicating the iamrhp tone of voice consistently across all channels and breaking down the key ingredients to delivering world-class customer service. With help from the team at Resource, we launched Stellar by sending a branded mug to all our employees and asking them to share their mugshots with us!
Just because we’re working from home and aren’t all together right now it doesn’t mean we can’t still show thanks to our colleagues. In fact, when apart, it’s more important than ever to let someone know they’re appreciated. Our new way of doing this is with a ‘virtual thank you award’. If someone has done something extra special or gone out of their way to help us and we’d like to say ‘thanks’, we can now send an e-thank you card along with a £5 Amazon e-gift card.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week which takes place on 18th - 24th May, our Mind Matters Champions shared 'acts of kindness' every day with our employees.
Most companies only allow one day a year for volunteering activities, but RHP employees working more than 18 hours a week can take up to two days to make a difference!
Here at RHP we're big believers in balance ⚖️ so as part of our wellbeing package we encourage our employees to claim back 50% on an annual Headspace subscription #HappyMindfulnessDay #NationalQuietDay
We were recently placed number two within 24housing Magazine's ‘Top 50 Landlords of the Year’ list. Feedback from one of our nominees The Guinness Partnership included: "Where RHP goes, larger housing associations often follow." Our Chief Executive, David says: “Wow - what a fabulous result and even more special to be recognised in this way in RHP’s 18th year. I’m so proud of everyone at RHP and what we’re achieving together.”
We’re thrilled to have been ranked 4th in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list (medium category), featuring alongside organisations such as Hilton, Admiral Group and TSB Bank. The list, which is run by Great Place to Work, recognises organisations which ensure that women in their workforce are treated fairly when it comes to pay, recognition, training and promotion opportunities as well as being able to work flexibly. They also look for examples of other great things organisations do to ensure that women in their workforce have a fair and positive work experience, and where they’re able to contribute their talents and develop personally and professionally. RHP’s Head of HR Pauline Geldard states: “We’re incredibly proud of this achievement. We strive to provide a great place to work whatever someone’s gender; with loads of opportunities to grow and develop, the promotion of work-life harmony and fair working practices. We embrace the creativity and innovation that being a diverse workforce brings and have a long history of women in senior leadership positions."
We’re privileged to be taking part in a programme focusing on solving the housing crisis which is being produced by The Chartered Institute of Housing & ITN. The programme centres around how the housing sector is coming together with innovative solutions and approaches to help combat the crisis. Our Head of Engagement, Chloë, gave 24housing Magazine an exclusive sneak peek. Look out for the programme itself coming soon!
