Over the last two years our M6 J21-26 project team including Costain Group PLC have spent 355 hours volunteering at Cleavley Community Forest Garden, most recently helping to build an irrigation system that not only conserves water and gives life to healthier plants, but also reduces water bill costs too. Run by Incredible Education, the social enterprise offers health and wellbeing programmes through horticulture and forest school activities to communities in Salford. Ian Bocock, Director of Incredible Education said: “We have long been investigating the potential of a sustainable water run-off and we’ve overcome several logistical challenges to reach this stage. The support of Costain’s people has been instrumental in helping us accomplish this milestone that will dramatically enhance the resources we provide to local school children, and our local community.”
