On Friday Highways England supported Road Heroes Day, a national campaign to celebrate the unsung heroes of the UK’s roads and highlight the pioneering work and innovation taking place across the wider highways industry. Meet Clarke, who went above and beyond in his role as a traffic officer to help coach and mentor a large intake of new staff, arranging training plans, offline control room scenarios, ride-outs in traffic officer vehicles and much more. The result of his hard work meant the new traffic officers were fully effective in their roles after three months, instead of the usual nine! #RoadHeroes
